Lady Gaga is set to release her smash debut The fame as The fame monster. The set will feature 8 brand new songs.
As you can see from the images above: the album artwork will also be completely redone. Makes a nice change from the obligatory 'old picture from the original inlay' or 'run the original image through Photoshop and crank the saturation and hue' game that many re-releases get for their covers. The Ring looking picture on the left is a mess. If anybody wandered what Lady Gaga looks like when she's not Lady Gaga and is plain old Stefani Germanotta - that picture is for you. 'Cause that's what home girl looks like.
The new songs will feature production from Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins and of course, RedOne. I'm really eager to hear what she cooks up with Rodney Jerkins. He recorded some songs with her for her debut, but they got left off. Then he did some songs with Lady Gaga for Britney's Circus album (which Britney actually recorded) and then they got left off of her release too. So it's going to be cool to finally hear the fruits of Darkchild and Gaga's work. I have this feeling he's going to give her a track that sounds like Janet's "Feedback" or a Pussycat dolls song though. Just a feeling. Hopefully my feeling is way off and he gives her something really hot that surprises the hell out of me.
With all this I wonder why she doesn't just record a new album. 8 new tracks? That's pretty much 4 songs away from an album anyway! Gotta admire the love and dedication. Can't wait to hear the new songs. Britney's singles collection is releasing on the very same day. I'm gonna go ahead and say that I think Lady Gaga will have Britney beat.
