Perfume perform "Tokyo Girl" on The Masked Singer, as the style sabotage continues

I really have to hand it to Perfume's style team and designers. They really outdo themselves with how ugly they can make Perfume's stage outfits. Because the shit they wore on The Masked Singer was a whole new tier of ugly, and Perfume have worn some atrocities on stage over the years. Just-

Not only were these outfits just ugly in terms of design; being ill fitting, unflattering and having a nasty combination of colours. But they looked so damn cheap on camera. The fabric looked cheap. The masks looked cheap. This was some Party City bargain bin type of mess. I don't get how any designer and stylist could have a group go out on stage looking like...

Even with how low quality the image above is, I can see how raggedy the hem on Nocchi's skirt is.

Perfume really went from looking borderline stylish and having Kashiyuka in thigh high boots for "Polygon Wave" performances, giving us promo shoots looking fly and fashionable, and starring in a Levi's campaign looking cool, to wearing outfits from a 'Make stuff out of cheap shit' challenge on RuPaul's Drag Race from queens who can't sew.

Perfume be making too much money and have too many talented people in their team to be wearing outfits this poorly made and designed.

As for the performance, it was good, as Perfume performances always are. I'm not a fan of "Tokyo Girl". It's not a Perfume song I ever listen to. But it was one of the best selling singles off of Future Pop; so I get why they'd perform it. I also imagine that them performing "Tokyo Girl" on this show was part of a remnant of the rollout of performances following what would have been their opening ceremony performance for the Tokyo 2020 2021 Olympics. Because in light of the theme of the ceremony and the song having 'Tokyo' in its title, it's highly likely that Perfume would have performed "Tokyo Girl".
